About the open learning platform
Our learning platform offene.fernuni-hagen.de has been around since 2017. What makes this platform special is that it also enables external participants to take part in online courses at FernUniversität.
Open Educational Resources
Here you will find courses that are made available as OER. This means that you can not only take these courses freely, you can also reuse them depending on the license specified.
Self study courses
Here you will find courses that are available without supervision for independent learning. Some of these courses are free to attend, for some of these courses you have to register. Information on access can be found on the course overview pages.
Open self-enrollment courses
Here you will find courses that you can take freely. You do not need to register for these courses anywhere in advance and they should all be open without a registration key. This includes OER courses, but not all open courses are also OER.
Further training courses
Here you will find courses that are part of the further training courses offered by the FernUni for staff.
You must have registered for these courses in advance to gain access to these courses.
EDELNet
EDELNet (European Distance Education in Law Network) is a Strategic Partnership between 5 European distance learning and campus universities. You can find the courses for this program on this platform.
